Getting from Lisbon to the Surf Spots in Caparica by Car or Public Transportation.
Car
Costa da Caparica is easily accessible by car. Take highway A2 from the center to south of Lisbon, cross the bridge and turn right on the first exit to Costa de Caparica is just 20 minutes away from the city center.
Bus
For those without a car, getting to the surf spots can be done by public transportation. The Lines 3709 bus from Marquês do Pombal and 3710 from Sete Rios will take you directly from center of Lisbon to Costa da Caparica, with a few stops along the way.
Train
Take the train in Sete Rios, the train cross the Tejo Bridge, exit in Pragal in 11 minutes. From the Roma-Areeiro station, on Roma Avenue, the train takes 17 minutes, and from Campolide, only 8 minutes.
Once in Pragal, already on the south of Lisbon, there is a direct bus to Costa da Caparica.

Total traveling time is between 40 to 1 hour, depending on the train station of departure.
Boat
There are two options: Cais do Sodré and Belém
From Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas
Departures from Cais do Sodré are regular during the week, 10 in 10 minutes you have a boat. At weekends and holidays, there are about three trips per hour in each direction (see timetable).
From Cacilhas to Costa da Caparica
3011 – Cacilhas – Costa da Caparica (34 minutes)
From Belém to Trafaria
The departures, from Belém on weekdays are about one per hour, (see timetable). In this ferry is possible to come with your car or motorbike.

3030 – Monte da Caparica (FCT) – Fonte da Telha (15 minutes to Costa da Caparica and 30 minutes to Fonte da Telha)
